The SmartAX MA5621 (MA5621 for short) is the first multi-dwelling unit (MDU) specifically designed for smart grid telecommunication in the industry, which supports natural heat dissipation and provides 2*GE/2*GPON uplink ports and 4*GE/FE+4*RS232 user ports. The MA5621 allows terminal units to remotely collect and transmit required information, for example, to remotely control the power, monitor environment safety, and read meters for billing. The MA5621 also can be used for video monitor services. The MA5621 features a broad temperature range, broad voltage range, low-power consumption, and high stability, and can be used on workbenches and installed in corridors and cabinets.
The MA5621 is installed in an outdoor cabinet for remotely collecting and transmitting required information in the electric system. It connects to two optical line terminals (OLTs) by using two PON ports for redundancy protection and connects to the remote terminal unit (RTU), transformer terminal unit (TTU), feeder terminal unit (FTU), or power meter by using the FE or serial port.
